Senior Recoveries Officer

About the role  

As a Senior Recoveries Officer, you’ll play a critical role in managing our external partners to drive performance and ensure our commercial operations run smoothly and compliantly.

You’ll join a team dedicated to collaborative delivery, working together to balance strong financial outcomes with rigorous risk management and ethical practices.

As our Senior Recoveries Officer, you’ll contribute to sustainable business practices that support the future of our operations. It is complex, meaningful work that relies on customer-focused thinking to ensure our processes remain fair, compliant, and efficient for everyone involved.

This is a 12-month contract role, based in either our CBD or Eastern Creek office. 

Day-to-day, you will:  

• Contribute to revenue optimisation through strong engagement with internal teams and external partnered agencies.

• Lead the analysis of processes to identify trends, provide recommendations, and drive process improvements to enhance outcomes and the customer experience.

• Provide leadership support to the Recoveries Team Leader, assisting with the daily management, coaching, and upskilling of the team.

• Manage key reporting functions, including the preparation of monthly accruals, invoice validation, and reconciliations.

• Act as a key point of contact for escalated customer accounts, ensuring corrective action is taken in line with company policy.

• Support the team in achieving key performance indicators through regular quality checks, training, and performance guidance.

 

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:  

• Proven experience within a credit or debt collection agency (DCA) management function overseeing external partners or vendors to drive performance in a commercially focused environment

• Strong knowledge of credit/DCA processes, relevant legislation (including ASIC/ACCC guidelines), and credit reporting methodologies.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Demonstrated experience in a leadership or 2IC capacity, with a passion for upskilling team members.
