Job Description Summary
Learn to become a machinist working in GE Greenville's Gas Turbine Manufacturing Factory. Learn all aspects of machining and gas turbine manufacturing through a machinist apprenticeship program. The 3-year program provides multiple rotations through the factory to learn machining, assembly, Lean fundamentals, inspection, CAD applications, as well as on-machine and CNC Programming.Job Description
GE Vernova Greenville Gas Turbine Machinist Apprentice Program combines both academic studies and on-the-job training to develop the fundamentals required to become a skilled machinist with GE Power.
Program Summary
Specialized 3-year program combining on-the-job training with coursework through local community college
Apprentices paid for on-the-job training
Tuition, fees and books paid by GE Vernova (via Tuition Reimbursement)*
Mentoring, teamwork, ongoing reviews
Earn a 2-year Machine Tool Technology Associates Degree
Training in basic measurements, safety, print reading, NX CAD/CAM and many other manufacturing processes

Qualifications/Requirements
Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent, by the start of the program on December 7th, 2026.
Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA – per semester and cumulative
18 years or older by December 7th, 2026
Successful completion of a background check and drug screen
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
Wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and safety shoes
Work in a tobacco free environment
Desired Qualifications
Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
Strong Team member attitude, and the ability to work closely with other apprentices
Ability and eagerness to learn
Great communication skills
Manufacturing or applicable mechanical experience
For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the base pay for this position is will be 27.78/hr.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
