Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Winnemucca, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism and care. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related concerns, and contribute to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, and Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, and innovative approach.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with Allied Universal leadership, facility personnel, and public response agencies as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton equipment is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
