Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Project Manager

The Cybersecurity Initiatives Lead is responsible for driving execution, governance, transparency, and risk management across the Cybersecurity portfolio. This role partners closely with Cybersecurity leadership, Product, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Enterprise stakeholders to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered with strong execution discipline, measurable risk reduction, and clear business outcomes.

This position serves as a key advisor to senior leaders by transforming complex cybersecurity programs into actionable plans, meaningful portfolio insights, and executive-level communications that support informed decision-making.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex cybersecurity initiatives through all phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
  • Drive integrated planning across multiple programs and workstreams, ensuring dependencies, milestones, risks, and delivery commitments are clearly defined and actively managed
  • Develop and maintain initiative charters, roadmaps, delivery plans, success measures, and governance artifacts aligned with cybersecurity objectives
  • Establish and promote consistent project management practices, including scope management, change control, issue escalation, and milestone tracking
  • Manage execution risks, identify delivery constraints, and escalate issues appropriately to support timely decision-making
  • Partner with technical and business leaders to translate complex cybersecurity efforts into actionable plans and measurable outcomes
  • Develop executive-ready communications, dashboards, and portfolio reporting for Cybersecurity leadership and key stakeholders
  • Provide a consolidated view of portfolio health, execution progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions requiring leadership attention
  • Support governance activities, regulatory inquiries, audit activities, and initiative-level evidence tracking as required
  • Drive accountability and execution across stakeholders to help ensure strategic initiatives achieve intended business and risk reduction outcomes
  • Review, analyze, and influence complex operational and organizational processes to improve delivery effectiveness and portfolio transparency
  • Strategically collaborate with senior leaders, project sponsors, business partners, and cross-functional teams to align priorities and achieve program objectives
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using AI-assisted development and analysis tools, including GitHub Copilot and approved enterprise AI solutions
  • Leverage AI capabilities to accelerate planning, analysis, reporting, and problem-solving activities while maintaining appropriate human oversight
  • Apply strong judgment when validating AI-assisted outputs and ensure alignment with enterprise security, compliance, privacy, and risk management standards

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience leading large-scale cybersecurity, technology, risk, or regulatory programs in a highly matrixed organization
  • Strong program and portfolio management experience with demonstrated success delivering cross-functional initiatives
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused communications for executive audiences
  • Experience preparing executive briefings, governance materials, and strategic leadership updates
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk management, governance, compliance, and regulatory environments
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing competing priorities across multiple programs and workstreams
  • Ability to identify execution risks, recommend solutions, and influence outcomes across organizational boundaries
  • Experience developing portfolio reporting, dashboards, metrics, and executive-level insights
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, SAFe, or similar certification

Job Expectations

  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule – 3 days per week on-site/in office and 2 days per week remote
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$120,000.00 - $196,000.00
