The Risk and Compliance Analyst plays an important role in supporting Helia’s Risk and Compliance frameworks, helping ensure operations are conducted in accordance with ethical business practices, company policies and the applicable legal and regulatory framework. The role also acts as a key influencer and facilitator across the organisation, supporting a sound risk culture and contributing to the continued enhancement of Helia’s risk and compliance function.
This is a maximum term contract opportunity for 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance, development and optimisation of Helia's Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform, including implementation of agentic AI capabilities.
- Assist with the delivery of risk management activities, including risk reporting, monitoring, incident management and risk workshops.
- Contribute to compliance management by providing guidance, training and support to the business on legislative, regulatory and contract obligations.
- Support governance, controls assurance and compliance monitoring activities, including reporting, assurance engagements and oversight of actions.
- Assist in embedding and supporting Helia's Business Continuity Management program, including continuity planning, incident management and enterprise-wide testing.
- Deliver training and education to employees on risk, compliance and GRC system processes, supporting the continued development of a strong risk culture.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to strengthen risk awareness, embed effective risk practices and deliver continuous improvement initiatives.
What youll bring
- Experience in risk management or technology risk management, ideally within insurance or financial services.
- Experience administering Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) systems and supporting reporting and data quality.
- Knowledge of risk management frameworks, compliance obligations and governance practices.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret risk information and identify improvement opportunities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across the business.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion when managing sensitive information.
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
