Position Overview:

As a Dental Hygiene Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team, providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. • Full-time schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus one Saturday per month from 9:00 AM–2:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up treatment rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization
• Assist Dental Hygienists during patient treatment progress
• Update patient health history and chart treatment progress
• Expose and develop radiographs (if certified)
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Coordinate with clinical staff to manage inventory and sterilization of dental instruments
• Support the hygienist with patient scheduling, treatment recommendations, and office recall systems
• Perform routine tasks while ensuring compliance with the industry regulations including HIPAA & OSHA

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED (Required)
• Associate or certification in Dental Assisting is Required
• Radiology certification (Required)
• CPR certification (Preferred but can be obtained upon hiring)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort
