JOB SUMMARY:

The Forklift does the daily warehouse activities. Implement production, productivity quality and customer service requirements and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Oversees truck loading, resources and maintain inventory accuracy through accurate transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures a safe working environment though consistent practice of safety programs and procedures.
• Interface with customers to answer questions or solve problems.
• Leads and coordinates daily activities of workers engaged in materials movement or handling, receiving, loading, unloading, transporting, stacking, order filling, shipping and maintaining stock in warehouse.
• Reviews shipping or receiving orders and requests for movement of materials and products.
• Jobs include storing items in bins, on floors or on shelves in warehouse for removal, marking or tagging articles for identification purposes, maintaining records of inventory, filling orders, issuing materials to office or production areas and submitting requisitions for replacement stock.
• Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment, prepares work orders for repairs, and requisitions for replacement of equipment.
• Reviews work processes, recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product or service and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency.
• Communicate with other departments on daily operational activities.
• Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas.
• Manages time effectively.
• Ensures pickup and load accuracy of physical products and paperwork through audits and pictures.
• Resolve inventory issues on pick sheets as they happen.
• maintain daily operating schedules.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must hold a valid Amcor/Berry Global forklift license.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: 5-7 years of work experience required.
• Leadership:  Embodies plant wide commitment to safety, quality, efficiency, cost management and department reliability; acts as a role model and leader on all matters.
• Functional/Technical Skills:  Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishment.  Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with others. Ability to drive a forklift.
• Business Acumen:  Understands business implications of decisions; demonstrates knowledge of company financial measures; aligns work with strategic goals. Sees the big picture and conducts needs assessments.
• Organizational Support:  Supports organization's goals and values; supports affirmative action and respects diversity, promotes quality and safe work habits.
• Team Work: Coaches and motivates team members to improve individual performance and documents this as appropriate, including regular performance appraisals and other feedback for the benefit of the team member’s success.  Blends people into teams, creates strong morale and spirit in team.  Fosters open dialogue, shares wins and successes in terms of the whole team.  Leads people to finish and be responsible for their work.
• Communication:  Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner. Must maintain confidentiality and sustain a respectful workplace. Must speak clearly and persuasively in an individual and group presentation setting. Practices attentive and active listening; has the patience to hear people out; can accurately restate the opinions of others even when he/she disagrees. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Superior presentation skills and ability to prepare effective training and other materials.
• Planning and Organizing:  Prioritizes and plans work activities; uses time efficiently; Plans for additional resources; sets goals and objectives; organizes or schedules other people and their tasks; develops realistic action plans
