Group 1 Automotive is actively hiring Lube Technicians for our Tulsa-area dealerships, including South Pointe Honda, South Pointe Chevrolet, South Pointe Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, and BMW of Tulsa.

As a Lube Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping customer vehicles safe, reliable, and performing at their best. You'll work alongside experienced technicians in a fast-paced dealership environment while learning the foundations of automotive maintenance, inspections, and repair.
We're looking for dependable, motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a desire to grow. This position offers a clear pathway to advancement, including opportunities to become a Certified Technician or Main Line Technician.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid exchanges, and filter replacements while meeting dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Complete comprehensive digital multi-point inspections to identify maintenance needs and help ensure vehicle safety, reliability, and performance.
- Inspect critical vehicle components including tires, brakes, batteries, filters, fluids, suspension components, and other key systems.
- Create photo and video inspection reports that provide customers with a transparent view of their vehicle's condition and recommended services.
- Accurately document inspection findings, maintenance recommendations, and completed services using dealership technology and digital reporting tools.
- Handle customer vehicles with care and professionalism while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment that supports productivity and teamwork.
- Follow all company safety policies, manufacturer guidelines, and service department procedures.
- Promptly report damaged tools, equipment issues, or safety concerns to management.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a customer-first mindset while supporting dealership goals and company values.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver license.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems (engine, brakes, tires, fluids)
- Ability to perform routine maintenance services, including:
- Oil and filter changes
- Tire rotation and pressure checks
- Fluid checks and top‑offs (transmission, coolant, brake, power steering)
- Battery testing and replacement
- Visual inspections of belts, hoses, and filters
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools
- Ability to follow manufacturer and shop service procedures
In addition to competitive compensation, we offer:
- Hourly Pay Range: $16.00–$17.00 per hour
- Pay Type: Non‑exempt, hourly position
- Compensation will be based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications
- Overtime: Paid in accordance with federal and state law for hours worked over 40 in a workweek.
