Overview
Supervisor oversees the daily operations of cleaning staff and ensures that all facilities are maintained according to company standards and client expectations. This position is responsible for supervising employees, conducting quality inspections, coordinating work schedules, maintaining inventory and equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures. The supervisor serves as a key liaison between clients and the company, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and promoting high levels of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Train, and onboard Service Professionals.
- Assign work schedules and cleaning routes.
- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, and performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of cleaned facilities.
- Ensure cleaning standards and company procedures are followed.
- Address deficiencies and implement corrective measures.
- Respond promptly to customer concerns, complaints, and special requests.
- Ensure contract requirements and service expectations are met.
- Coordinate daily cleaning activities and staffing needs.
- Ensure adequate coverage for absences and emergencies.
- Monitor productivity and workflow efficiency.
- Track cleaning supplies and place orders as needed.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and storage of equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.
- Train employees on safety procedures and proper chemical handling.
- Enforce company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Ensure employees use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete inspection reports and operational documentation.
- Prepare reports for management regarding staffing, quality, and client issues.
- Maintain positive client relationships.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in facilities management, business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of commercial cleaning, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning methods, equipment, chemicals, and industry best practices.
- Understanding of workplace safety standards, OSHA regulations, and proper chemical handling procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to inspect work, identify quality issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including email, scheduling, and reporting software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with cleaning operations.
