Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for a Medical Staff Office Supervisor* who supervises the Medical Staff Office and support staff. The Medical Staff Office Supervisor* oversees the credentialing and reappointment processes for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional Staff, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements. This position reviews and directs the review of The Joint Commission manual and other legislation and regulations for changes that may impact medical staff operations, researches affected rules and practices, and drafts conforming language for submission to the appropriate committee for discussion and approval. The position also interprets regulations, supports the Medical Staff Organization and its committees, and coordinates credentialing, performance review, and committee activities.

Duties may include:
  • Supervises, trains, assigns, and evaluates the work of Medical Staff Office support staff.
  • Oversees credentialing, reappointment, and temporary authorization processes for Medical Staff and Allied Health Professional Staff.
  • Reviews and interprets regulatory requirements and accreditation standards; develops conforming language for bylaws, policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Monitors licensure, certification, continuing education, and other credentialing requirements.
  • Provides administrative support to the Executive Committee, Credentials Committee, and other Medical Staff committees, including preparing agendas, meeting materials, and minutes.
  • Coordinates proctoring and performance review data collection, tracking, and reporting.
  • Prepares Board of Supervisors agenda items, performance reports, and budget requests.

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC)is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit,456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school. CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

Certification: Must obtain a Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) certification within nine (9) months of hire.

Experience: Five (5) years of professional level experience working with Medical Staff departments and committees to meet internal and external regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate possesses an Associate's Degree in Medical Staff Services Management or a related healthcare field.
