Torbay Council is looking for a Corporate Security Officer to join our dedicated Security Team, providing a highly visible security presence across key Council buildings and locations; primarily within Torquay Library. Working days will include weekend working.
This is a varied and rewarding role that combines security, customer service, safeguarding, incident response and partnership working. You'll play an important role in protecting Council assets, supporting staff and visitors, assisting enforcement agencies and helping people feel safe in the communities we serve. Whether you're carrying out mobile patrols, monitoring CCTV systems, responding to alarms or supporting public events, you'll be at the heart of maintaining safe, secure and welcoming environments.
We're looking for someone who understands that modern security is about more than protecting buildings. It's about providing reassurance, delivering excellent customer service, exercising sound judgement and working collaboratively with colleagues, partners and members of the public.

- Experience dealing with members of the public and delivering excellent customer service.
