Job Summary:

Piper Fire Protection’s Clearwater, FL branch is seeking a motivated, results-driven Fire Protection Inspection Sales Representative to drive new business development and expand our recurring service agreement portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for selling compliance-based, recurring fire protection inspection contracts to commercial buildings, facility managers, and business owners.

Your primary focus will be generating new customer accounts and cross-selling existing clients on mandatory, recurring inspection schedules for fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, suppression systems, and emergency lighting. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and operates in both office and field environments.

**This role is also commission eligible**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell recurring service and inspection agreements for commercial fire protection systems.
  • Generate a continuous pipeline of new opportunities through cold calling, warm leads, networking, and self-generation.
  • Perform building walk-throughs and site assessments to identify code-compliance needs and map out system scopes.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to generate accurate, code-compliant price quotes and contract proposals.
  • Maintain consistent contact with existing customers to facilitate renewals and upsell or cross-sell additional safety services.
  • Document all pipeline activity, customer communications, and forecasts utilizing our internal service software.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of documented success in B2B sales, ideally within service-agreement sales, facility services, or a technical field.
  • Proven experience in Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Suppression, or other related industries.
  • Ability to conduct basic on-site visual surveys.
  • Familiarity with NFPA codes and standards (NFPA 13, NFPA 25, etc.), fire safety products, and local municipal compliance codes is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to meet company driving eligibility requirements, including holding a valid driver’s license and maintaining an acceptable motor vehicle record

This role may require extended periods of sitting or standing, movement around the office or job site, and operation of standard equipment. Physical activities can include reaching, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 lbs. Field positions may involve heavy lifting, working in varying climates (including outdoor conditions), construction or low-voltage environments, and exposure to dust, noise, or confined spaces. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required. Some roles may require travel.
