Description

The Quality Technician is an entry level quality assurance position supporting the Quality Department to ensure customer requirements are planned and implemented during the purchasing, inspection, and launching of products including calibration of gages and test equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative assistance to Quality Engineers and other Quality Department team members.
  • Reviews and assists with FAI,DFAI,IFAI, PPAP reports and submissions.
  • Reviews and Creates inspection instructions and documentation by assisting QE.
  • Performs quality inspections in RI / Source
  • Reviews, assists, performs and provides guidance as needed for customer RMAs, supplier RTV and can establish professional working relationship with internal or external customers and suppliers.
  • Review and assist with Hold maintenance, NPN, BOM, Quality Alerts, CAPA and other documentation in assistance to QE’s/QM.
  • Communicates with the customers at times regarding product quality issues, FAI/DFAI, Testing reports or project related items as requested
  • Calibrates equipment in assistance to Calibration process
  • Maintains calibration documentation following detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings and requirements
  • Performs other tasks/duties/projects as assigned by Manager or lead.

Job Requirements

  • AS Degree or minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing role.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Quality role, strongly preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Calibration role, strongly preferred. 
  • IPC 610, 620 and J-STD Certification 
  • Experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools, preferred
  • Experience using Quality tools and practices, preferred
  • Excellent Problem Solving, Statistical and Analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible schedule and OT availability
  • Able to lift to 50 lbs
