What You Will Do
Foster Positive Employee Relations & Labor Relations:
Support the People Strategy through positive employee relations
Monitor and proactively address engagement insights and trends to strengthen team health and proactively address engagement risks
Drive employee engagement strategy with available data & tools, including employee surveys
Provide Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) interpretation, administration & grievance management toworks council obligations council
Support labor negotiations & social dialogue obligations
Ensure Compliance:
Support structural actions, workforce reduction activities & provide termination support
Maintain compliance with federal, state & local laws at local sites
Provide HR policy interpretation & ensure fair application
Coach and Counsel:
Coach & counsel leaders to develop high-performing teams
Support change management activities and execute on key HR processes
Facilitate performance coaching and management, including Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) management
Coach leaders to navigate conflict resolution between employees and execute site HR intervention activities as required
Support leaders & employees with completion of key HR processes, such as Annual Compensation Planning
Performance Impact, Individual Development Plans & leader training
Support workforce hiring, reduction, & rebalancing as required by business needs
Solve complex problems
Provide proactive process deployment & education
Ensure HR advocacy & consistent application of policies & practices
Support leaders in addressing performance and workplace concerns. Partner to administer corrective action and disciplinary actions
Investigate HR matters objectively & drive resolution
Identify union threats & support counter-campaign efforts
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support conflict resolution and employee interactions
Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and willingness to learn complex HR topics
Comfortable coaching others at a basic level and building leadership relationships
Ability to stay objective and neutral when supporting employee relations issues
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
Foundational understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and workplace policies
Qualifications We Prefer
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field
Internship or entry‑level experience in HR, employee relations, or labor relations
Exposure to investigations, grievance processes, or workplace concerns
Familiarity with change management concepts or supporting HR processes
Experience using HRIS, survey platforms, or data dashboards
Knowledge of union environments or interest in learning labor relations
Experience supporting training or educational sessions for teams or leaders

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
