Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Medical Assistant at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will help our clinical team and patients navigate their daily visits so they can receive efficient, high-quality, and compassionate care.
Every day you will proactively manage patient flow and chart preparation. You will be expected to support the provider throughout the full patient visit cycle, from pre-visit intake to post-visit follow-up.
To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate a high level of clinical accuracy, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers with patient exams, perform medication administration, dress wounds, and collect lab specimens.
- Operational Efficiency: Organize daily schedules, proactively update electronic medical records, and coordinate follow-up tests or procedures.
- Patient Experience: Act as a primary point of contact for patients and families, ensuring they are prepared for exams and fully informed regarding their ongoing care plans.
Job Requirements
Required
- Medical Assisting Diploma and
- Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, upon hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant AAMA, upon hire or
- Certified Medical Assistant NHA, upon hire or
- National Certified Medical Assistant NCCT, upon hire or
- National Registered/Certified Medical Assistant NAHP, upon hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant, upon hire or
- Registered Medical Assistant AMT, upon hire or
- Cert Med Asst - MMCI, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
