Role Summary
Anthropologie is looking for an Associate Digital Merchandiser to own the digital strategy for our apparel business. This role sets the merchandising vision for how product is presented, discovered, and storytold across site and app by translating category and trend insight into a compelling online shopping experience. The Associate Digital Merchandiser focuses on strategy, testing, and cross-functional partnership while managing an Assistant Merchandiser who owns daily execution.
Role Responsibilities
Category Strategy & Ideation
- Own the digital merchandising strategy for assigned apparel categories, leveraging strong awareness of key product, trends, and business drivers
- Act as ideation lead for category storytelling, trend shops, and seasonal concepts, bringing a creative brand-right POV to the digital channel
- Conduct competitive and market research to identify innovation opportunities for the site experience
Site Experience
- Set and oversee execution of total site strategy, including site content, navigation/taxonomy, gateway and landing pages, filters, and onsite search
- Optimize category pages and PDPs through algorithim logic, merchandising, product recommendation trays, and complete-the-look styling features
- Partner on SEO and attribution updates to ensure product is easy to find and performance is measured accurately
Messaging & Campaigns
- Own the customer touchpoint strategy for assigned categories across email, app, and SMS, ensuring alignment with key product messaging
- Lead campaign ownership end to end — journals, new arrivals, product launches, and promotional moments
- Oversee promo execution and daily product activations across site and email
Reporting & Analysis
- Deliver weekly category reporting and ad hoc analysis; use data to influence business decisions
- Monitor site and category performance daily, identifying risks and opportunities to drive conversion and sales
Management & Partnership
- Manage, develop, and mentor an Assistant Merchandiser, setting clear priorities and overseeing quality of execution
- Partner closely with Buying leads, Web Production, Digital Marketing, Analytics, Copy, and Digital Design to bring the merchandising vision to life

Role Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant eCommerce, digital merchandising, or merchandising experience
- Ability to interpret data and translate it into strategic merchandising decisions
- Demonstrated leadership potential; prior experience managing or mentoring preferred
- Achievement-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize and multi-task with a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proactive personality with exceptional interpersonal skills; capable of working cross-functionally to support the digital channel
- Proficiency using Google applications
- Interest and knowledge of apparel trends and a strong understanding of the Anthropologie brand
