Description
Repair & Maintenance Manager
Lead repair and maintenance operations to ensure assets, equipment, facilities, and operational infrastructure are safe, reliable, cost-effective, and available to support business needs. This role manages internal maintenance teams and third-party workshop partners, drives repair quality and turnaround time, and improves maintenance performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for operational assets, equipment, tools, and facilities.
- Manage and develop technicians, mechanics, supervisors, and external workshop partners to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and service targets.
- Establish maintenance SOPs, inspection standards, work-order controls, and repair-quality requirements.
- Manage third-party workshops through SLAs, performance reviews, audits, escalation processes, and corrective-action plans.
- Monitor asset availability, downtime, turnaround time, first-time-fix rate, repeat repair rate, preventive-maintenance compliance, backlog, and cost per repair.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement improvements to reduce downtime, rework, and cost.
- Plan manpower, tools, spare parts, consumables, and vendor capacity to maintain operational readiness.
- Control maintenance budgets, repair quotations, parts usage, invoices, warranties, and vendor claims.
- Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Procurement to prioritize repairs and minimize operational disruption.
- Maintain maintenance records and provide regular performance, risk, and improvement reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in repair, maintenance, workshop, fleet, automotive, manufacturing, or technical operations, including 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience managing third-party workshops, repair vendors, service centers, or maintenance partners.
- Strong knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, spare-parts management, vendor management, and SLA governance.
- Strong leadership, analytical, communication, budget-control, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and maintenance, work-order, CMMS, ERP, or fleet-management systems.
Preferred
- Experience in EV, motorcycle, automotive, mobility, logistics, manufacturing, or field-service operations.
- Familiarity with Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, or continuous-improvement practices.
