The Lytle Park Hotel is seeking a passionate and service-driven Banquet Captain / Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our Food & Beverage leadership team.
This unique position offers the opportunity to work across multiple areas of our Food & Beverage operation. The Banquet Captain / F&B Supervisor will take the lead in executing banquet events and creating memorable experiences for our guests. When banquet events are not scheduled, this position will support our restaurant and outlet operations as an F&B Supervisor.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys variety, thrives in a luxury hospitality environment, and is equally comfortable leading a banquet event, supporting a busy restaurant shift, and coaching a team to deliver exceptional service.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee banquet events from setup through completion, ensuring events are executed according to event specifications and service standards.
- Review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and coordinate with Culinary, Sales, Banquets, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate event details, assignments, and service expectations to the banquet team.
- Supervise banquet servers and support staff while providing hands-on leadership throughout events.
- Serve as a primary point of contact during events and respond quickly and professionally to guest needs.
- Ensure banquet spaces are properly set, maintained, and reset according to hotel standards.
- Support the Food & Beverage outlets as a Supervisor when banquet business does not require Captain coverage.
- Assist with opening, closing, and daily outlet operations as needed.
- Support restaurant and outlet teams during peak business periods while maintaining exceptional service standards.
- Coach, motivate, and provide feedback to Food & Beverage team members.
- Assist F&B leadership with maintaining cleanliness, organization, safety, and operational standards throughout the department.
- Help create a positive, collaborative work environment focused on teamwork and exceptional guest experiences.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous banquet, restaurant, or Food & Beverage experience required.
- Previous supervisory, captain, lead, or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of banquet and/or restaurant service standards.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- A hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump in wherever needed.
- Ability to remain composed and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule based on business needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Luxury or upscale hospitality experience is a plus.
