Role Overview
The Commissioning Lead is responsible for leading and coordinating the successful delivery of commissioning and warranty activities across the designated region. The role ensures projects are commissioned safely, efficiently and to the required technical and quality standards, while meeting client expectations, project requirements and commercial objectives. The Commissioning Lead works closely with internal teams, technicians, clients and contractors to drive timely resolution of issues, effective project handovers and a high standard of customer service.
Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities
Lead commissioning activities across warranty sites and designated client accounts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to required standards.
Monitor and manage commissioning and warranty performance, ensuring outcomes meet project, client and business requirements.
Provide technical guidance and support to Field Technicians in resolving commissioning, warranty and technical issues.
Coordinate commissioning handovers, scheduling, resourcing and project requirements with CML, Service Coordinators and Local Branch Managers.
Manage warranty claims and ensure all commissioning, warranty and project documentation is completed accurately and within required timeframes.
Support the transition from warranty to preventative maintenance, ensuring PM requirements are communicated and established prior to the expiry of the Defects Liability Period (DLP).
Build strong relationships with clients and contractors, providing responsive service and supporting effective delivery of commissioning and warranty works.
Identify recurring issues and continuous improvement opportunities, providing feedback to management to improve processes, technical outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Required Competencies & Qualifications
5–10 years’ experience in HVAC, HVACR or a related mechanical services industry.
Proven experience in service, account management, commissioning or a customer-facing technical role.
Strong technical knowledge and demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC and mechanical service issues.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the confidence to build trusted relationships with clients and contractors.
Strong organisational, planning and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes within required timeframes.
Demonstrated leadership, negotiation and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Ability to identify customer needs and opportunities, with strong commercial awareness and sales capability.
HVAC, engineering or related technical qualifications, supported by strong computer skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player, building strong relationships at all organizational levels.
Strong capability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a service-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal communication).
