Senior Phlebotomy Technician

Schedule: Full-time | Night

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Perform venipuncture to draw blood samples and process specimens according to clinical protocols

• Register patient information and evaluate laboratory test requests for proper collection procedures

• Serve as a departmental resource by training new and current phlebotomy staff

• Maintain, clean, and sanitize equipment following strict infection control safety standards

• Handle administrative duties including patient order entry, phone calls, and blood drive donor screening

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.
• Phlebotomy Tech preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
