What You’ll Do

• Teach engaging, standards-based Middle School ELA
• Develop lessons aligned with Colorado Academic Standards
• Adapt instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
• Create a positive classroom built around collaboration, communication, respect, and responsibility
• Use PBIS strategies to support positive student behavior
• Assess student learning and use performance data to provide targeted instruction
• Identify students needing intervention, on-grade-level instruction, or gifted and talented services
• Co-plan and co-teach with partner teachers
• Work with the ELD team to support second-language learners
• Track academic and social growth and maintain accurate progress records
• Collaborate with families, teachers, school leadership, and the broader school community
• Participate in professional learning communities, intervention discussions, team meetings, and professional development

What You’ll Bring

• Valid Colorado Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement for the grade level and subject area
• Strong knowledge of English Language Arts
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learners
• Ability to analyze student performance data and use it to guide instruction
• Ability to teach effectively both independently and through co-teaching
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Comfort using educational technology
