Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Supervisor, Supply Chain, you will assist with expense management, focusing on vendor relationships, contract compliance, standardization, and utilization analysis within your assigned specialty area. You will be critical in optimizing financial outcomes and enhancing quality through efficient supply chain management.
Every day, you will work to link, serve, and lead departments and physicians in improving financial outcomes by refining business processes and enhancing quality related to supply, receiving, inventory, and distribution for your assigned Hospital and/or ambulatory site. You will directly manage staff work schedules, task assignments, and oversee their on-board and continuing training. You will collaborate with the Supply Chain Director on recruitment, hiring, discipline, and evaluation, assist with report development and analysis, work within the departmental budget, and trend supply utilization to modify operations accordingly.
To be successful, you will possess strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills. Your ability to manage staff, maintain vendor relationships, ensure compliance, drive process improvements, and contribute to budgetary goals will be crucial in maximizing quality and minimizing costs across designated facilities.
- Identify process improvement and cost saving opportunities and communicate those to Director of Supply Chain Management and assist in implementation.
- Responsible for trending supply utilization within clinical departments and collaborate with Director Supply Chain Management to modify operations to support those trends.
- Actively round with Supply Chain Technicians and user department personnel to identify service issues and resolve in a timely manner.
- Ensure Supply Chain Technicians adhere to established Enterprise Business Processes as designed.
- Provide outstanding customer service support to clinical and administrative departments.
- Set up physical inventory locations consistent with good inventory practices.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- One (1) year progressive Supply Chain Management experience or other Supervisory experience and/or graduate degree
Preferred
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree
- ERP experience
- Certified Material Resource Professional (CMRP)
