About the position

Sr Project Manager – Global PMO

The Kraft Heinz Global Business Services (GBS) organization is establishing a program management team consisting of senior Project and Program Management professionals to lead high-profile, complex transformation, transition, and technology transformation projects. The role will drive structured delivery across business process changes, operating model transitions, digital enablement, technology adoption, and cross-functional transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have program management end-2-end experience and experience facilitating cross-team planning to help mature our delivery capabilities and promote alignment and predictability through transparency and identification/coordination of dependencies and risks.

You are an ideal candidate if you are highly organized, have a solid track record of successfully leading the management of global, complex programs, have strong communication skills, can work across multiple time zones, and excel in a fast-paced environment with rapid change.

The Sr Project Manager takes responsibility for stakeholder management across the wider program audience, engages with senior leadership, provides structured recommendations, and acts as a delivery partner across transformation strategy, transition planning, technology implementation, risk management, and business readiness.

Requirements

Project/Program Execution
 

• Kick-off programs and projects from the start. You are responsible for initiating the project, setting up governance and leading planning and execution.
• Prioritize and manage a group of interdependent projects so each one delivers on their goals.
• Ensure regular reviews, accountability, and management of projects, stakeholders, and suppliers are in place.
• Track basic costs, more comprehensive costs of administering the program, and the costs of change and transition to achieve benefits.
• Lead transformation and transition workstreams covering scope definition, current-state assessment, future-state design, transition planning, implementation governance, benefit tracking, and business adoption.
• Manage technology transformation projects involving technology enablement, system/process integration, data migration readiness, user acceptance, cutover planning, deployment coordination, hypercare, and post-go-live stabilization.
• Coordinate with business, IT, finance, HR, procurement, operations, and external partners to manage dependencies, risks, decisions, escalations, and readiness activities across global programs.
• Manages the relationship with various (groups of) stakeholders strategically.
• Identify and analyze business needs, stakeholders, and interdependencies with other projects and programs.
• Assess current-state delivery challenges, identify root causes, and recommend practical improvements to operating models, governance forums, decision rights, and delivery practices.
• Facilitate workshops with business, functional, and leadership stakeholders to shape options, evaluate trade-offs, and drive alignment on transformation priorities.
• Lead, coach, appraise, and develop teams of indirect reports and project managers assigned to a program.
• Ensuring acceptance of end product by customer and negotiating with internal and/or external parties.
• Monitoring and reporting the program’s performance.

Leadership
 

• Leads teams and manages stakeholders effectively through influence and engagement
• Efficiently identifies and removes roadblocks to program execution.
• Evokes creative and innovative thinking from team members while helping them to bring their ideas to fruition
• Models developing relationships across the organization, leveraging them to work through barriers
• Possesses the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change and the ability to convey the need for change
• Exhibits extensive knowledge of current and emerging project management practices and applies them in programs
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the program-related structure of required vendors related to project outcomes
• Fosters engagement and collaboration between the project managers of the program.  

Communication

• Responsible for all program communications to leadership, the stakeholder community, and the program team
• Proactively understands how and when to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
• Develop clear executive-level recommendations, decision papers, and structured narratives that translate complex program issues into actionable choices.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of relevant experience with PMO, project, program or portfolio management, including leadership of large-scale transformation programs
• More than 10 years’ experience in management, advisory, transformation, or senior stakeholder-facing roles, including leadership of senior-level employees and cross-functional teams
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Engineering, or related Analytical field required
• MBA or PhD
• Certification in either PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SAFe is a strong plus
• Experience with business development, solution development, project/program management, and project delivery
• Experience with managing a performance/practice management team
• Experience with PPM tools, e.g. Monday.com, ServiceNow, Jira, MS Project, or any other is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Change Management knowledge or experience a plus
• Hands-on experience in transformation, transition, technology implementation, digital enablement, business readiness, change adoption, and post-go-live stabilization initiatives.
• Flexibility to adjust to new demands with a sense of urgency. Must have the ability to embrace a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment with rapid change
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global teams while maintaining focus on outcomes and/or removing barriers
• Ability to see the whole picture (helicopter view) as well as being able to focus in the detail
• A team player with energy and enthusiasm to motivate and engage others
• Experienced Program Management within Food/Beverage Industry and/or Global Business Services (GBS) organizations is a bonus!
