Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $23.90 - $36.54. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

JOB DESCRIPTION
This individual will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary research team including physicians, staff scientists and laboratory personnel. The candidate will facilitate completion of milestones necessary for clinical trial completion, including patient recruitment, follow up coordination, clinical sample analysis, processing and transportation, and binder management. The candidate will be involved in all day-to-day research activities, ensuring efficient completion of all goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Clinical Trial Management:

• Patient recruitment

• Ensuring completion of research-related administrative tasks including study binder management

• Ensuring appropriate study participant follow up

• Coordination across study cites, co-investigators and research assistants

 

Specimen Processing and Analysis

• Ensure appropriate transport, labeling, tracking and processing of clinical trial samples

• Assist with bench-based testing of clinical specimens

• Contacts service providers as needed to repair equipment

 

Maintains inventory of shared supplies and instrumentation

• Tracks usage of supplies and maintains a database of supplies

• Orders supplies as needed

• Ensures organization of supply storage areas

• Contacts service providers as needed to repair equipment

• Maintains emergency contact information for freezers

• Assists in management of shared equipment

• Assists in arranging biohazardous waste and sharps collection as needed

 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience working in clinical research and managing clinical trials
• Experience working in a lab environment
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Word. Proficiency with statistical methods and/or software preferred.
• College degree required
• Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• General knowledge of specified laboratory solutions, materials, and/or media
• Requires moderate physical work such as lifting packages and boxes of supplies

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Indoor area with frequent exposure Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature, and noise. Examples: patient care providers and laboratory technicians.

• Maintains Documentation & Manages Information - Maintains tracking logs Creates and maintains tracking logs for Insurance Payor issues and accountability for closing out items.
• Upholds Standards/Expectations of HSS Staff - Oversees PHO line Oversees PHO phone line, answers and responds to inquires, and assist with urgent physician office issues.
