Job Purpose

Field Service & Networking Technician, your primarily responsibility is providing expertise and technical service and support for our customers by performing field service installation, startup, repairs and maintenance of various Century hardware and software solutions, assisting with or setting the technical direction for varying technical solutions, and serving as a technical expert.

Job Tasks   

1. Will perform a variety of technical field service related duties involving new product installations including equipment start up, functional testing, and customer training.
2. Test, calibrate verify system and peripheral devices.
3. Serve as a professional company representative providing exceptional customer service while at customer locations or while in any service support role.
4. Diagnose and perform repairs in a time effective manner.
5. Promote, build and maintain good customer relations.
6. Responsible for documentation of machine data, service history and quality information.
7. Demonstrate products as necessary in support of sales.
8. Communicate with managers to insure customer expectations are met and important information is passed on to the proper parties.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

1. Able to lift 75lbs, stand, stoop, crouch for prolonged periods with no issues. 
2. Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
3. Self-starter with the ability to work independently, as this role has no physical location to report to; will report to a manager based out of the Sioux Falls corporate office.
4. Prior experience in the service technician field preferred, supporting the ability to work independently with no direct on-site supervision in the Sioux City area.
5. Ability to effectively comprehend and communicate technical concepts.
6. Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
7. Strong time & project management skills.
8. Detail orientated.
9. Able to collaborate and interact with others.
10. Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
11. Ability to maintain the required security clearance for this role
12. Make recommendations for changes and improvements as may be developed through field service activity.
13. Passion and strong understanding of the industry and our business' mission

Performance Review

Performance will be reviewed on a periodic basis. An annual performance review will occur discussing historical performance and future planning and strategy.
