12 months Contract - Senior Frontend (React) Engineer - Financial Platforms (Through an External Agency Payroll Provider)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the frontend architecture of mission critical financial platforms, driving technical excellence.

You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, combined with strong engineering judgment, a passion for high quality user experiences, and a solid understanding of enterprise scale systems in regulated environments.

In addition to enhancing our core platform, the team is building a strategic new channel that brings investment capabilities directly to the bank's external clients through seamless integration with the e-banking platform. Engineers joining the team will have the opportunity to shape the architecture, scalability, and operational model of this highly visible initiative from an early stage.

Note: This is a 12 months contract role with an external agency payroll provider.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability.
• Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high‑quality user experiences
• Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications.
• Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systems.
• Proactively refactor and modernize existing codebases where required.
• Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environments.
• Contribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative environment.

YOUR PROFILE

Skills Requirements

• Extensive, hands‑on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on React at enterprise scale.
• Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling).
• Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component libraries.
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting.
• Experience in the financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to API security, OAuth2, and related standards.
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence technical direction.
• Proven ability to thrive in agile, cross‑functional teams.
