Overview of the Role:

The Credit Representative reports to the AR Manager and is responsible for the evaluation of overall company credit risk by managing the credit worthiness of new and existing businesses.

How you will make contributions that matter: 

• Process and evaluate daily credit applications, leveraging a strong understanding of legal entity structures to validate customer information, corporate documentation, ownership relationships, registered addresses, and financial data, ensuring accurate credit assessments and compliance with company policies.
• Examine and analyze customer financial information, at a national level, including historical internal data (DSO, AS400, MicroStrategy, credit hold reports), and commercial banking reports, for both public and private companies,
• Review / analyze credit reports, various financial and business data to make credit risk decisions or recommendations.
• Knowledge of customer financial statements, including liquidity and risk ratios, would be an asset
• Support trade relationships with credit agencies
• Strong communication skills required to facilitate collaboration with key stakeholders, including sales, AR collection and customer master teams
• Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly credit reports, making evaluations and recommendations.
• Establish and improve credit controls for existing customer accounts.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: 

• 5+ years’ experience in a commercial credit environment, having already made credit recommendations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications essential, strong knowledge of excel required.
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Demonstrated problem solving/decision making skills.
• Self-motivated with initiative.
• Excellent customer service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Works well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Commerce) and/or Credit Certified Professional (CCP) designation obtained / or in process of obtaining, would be an asset
• Bilingual (French and English) both spoken and written, is essential. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers, sales, and financial teams across Quebec and Canada. Most supporting documentation from outside Quebec is exclusively in English.

Salary: $ $48,505 - $63,635*

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
