Job Summary:
Responsibilities Include: EKG tech will have the ability to perform EKGs on patients and demonstrates ability to perform patient prep for EKGs that are needed for stress testing. EKG tech should be able to notify Physician Extender or Cardiologist of abnormal findings prior to stress test. EKG tech will work in a supportive manner with Physician Extender or Cardiologist during stress testing and should be able to recognize changes in patient condition and basic abnormalities on Cardiac stress test monitoring system during stress testing . EKG Tech will have the ability to obtain manual blood pressures on patients at rest and while patient is in motion for stress tests. EKG tech will have the ability to stay competent with stress testing software/equipment and be able to operate automatic blood pressure machines. EKG tech will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, is able to multitask, has effective communication skills, ability to work independently and as a team member. Able to interact compassionately and effectively to provide quality patient care. Supports and promotes the values and mission of the organization. Courteous interaction with co-workers/peers. Documents patient care services in hospital electronic medical records and Cardiac stress testing software within their scope of practice.
Requirements:
Licensure(s): Current and active on the Maine State CNA registry
Certification(s): BLS to be obtained within 30 days of employment

Comp Range:
$17.73 - $24.42Rate of pay displayed reflects the beginning of the pay scale. At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position.
