Position Overview:
HealthEdge is in search of a Data Engineering Team Lead to join our Cloud Data
Engineering Team. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and testing cutting-edge technical data solutions. The Data Engineering team collaborates with business and technical partners to establish and maintain high-value data.
As the Data Engineering Team Lead, you will work closely with all team members to create a modular, scalable solution that addresses current needs, but will also serve as a foundation for future success. You will be critical in building the team’s engineering
practices in test-driven development, continuous integration, automated deployment and is a hands-on team member who actively coaches the team to solve complex problems.
She / he will be responsible for the design, development, performance, and support of the cloud data services.
What you will do:
- Lead the technical design, building, and testing of cloud data services; allowing
them meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security needs.
- Responsible for working with data asset-related technology that has been approved
by the architecture team to move, transform, and validate data between systems
and AWS Cloud.
- Provide data integration subject matterexpertiseto the team covering ETL/ELT. Can explain complex concepts to others and establish business value of solutions.
- Complete design, code review, and test case reviews to improve and set the bar for
the quality of the delivery. Providing guidance for the engineering team while
designing the data integration applications.
- In-depth knowledge of database structures/ data warehousing principles, and
experience in SQL across different platforms including structured and unstructured
data from various enterprise sources.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
- Understand batch and real-time data integration patterns include ETL experience
(Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, etc.), SQL, data
streaming, etc.
- Experience in writing and executing complexSQL’s.
- Programmer experience in python procedural programming
- Experience with building DAGs in Airflow
- Proven technical skills in datamodeling, data management, data pipelines, ETL/ELT
- Hands-on experience integrating AI tools into daily workflows — including code generation, automated testing, documentation, and process automation — with the ability to evaluate, adopt, and adapt emerging AI technologies to improve team productivity.
- Strong communicationskills both written and verbal, with ability to communicate or
convey the results to audience at all levels.
- B.E. in computer science or equivalent experience
Bonus points:
- 3+ years ofHealthcaredomain experience, preferably with expertise in provider data
- Familiarity with HL7 FHIR data standard
