What you’ll be doing

As an Analyst, Transaction Processing Entitlements, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate operational support to our business partners across Canada and overseas. You will be expected to analyze information thoroughly and efficiently under tight deadlines and without direct supervision. Your responsibilities will include a quick turnaround on event validations and ensuring payments are made on the anticipated payment date. You will also accurately process Entitlements Event Information (e.g., Cash Dividend, Optional Dividend, US/Foreign Currency Election, and DRIP Election), reconcile and validate entitlements, elect on behalf of clients to custodians, and ensure the accurate distribution of payments to clients. How you’ll succeed

  • Compliance - Process entitlement events tied to maturities and early redemptions, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines.

  • Time Efficiency - Handle high-dollar transactions efficiently and timey and maintaining a high level of accuracy in all processes.

  • Relationship Management - Collaborate with external brokers, traders, transfer agents and depositories to facilitate smooth transaction processing.

  • Analysis - Analyze and resolve discrepancies or issues related to Entitlement events in a timely manner.

  • Records Management - Maintain detailed records of all transactions and events processes, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

  • Independence - Work independently to meet tight deadlines without direct supervision, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Risk Management - Apply a risk-averse approach in decision making and transaction process to minimize potential losses and ensure the reliability of financial operations.

  • Research - Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes and best practices related to entitlement and corporate events and financial transactions.

  • Financial Knowledge - Demonstrate a strong bank acumen to understand the implications of various financial products and ensure effective processing.
