The Security Monitoring and Badging Specialist is responsible for real-time monitoring of security cameras, alarms, and other security systems supporting the Hyderabad office. The role serves as a key operational link between local Hyderabad contacts and the GSOC team in Ohio, using Microsoft Teams and other communication channels to coordinate incident response, share situational information, and support security operations.
This position also carries meaningful secondary responsibility for badging and access administration. Badging support includes regular onboarding and credential management during normal business hours, along with periodic support for larger batch processing needs outside standard hours. The role is expected to maintain strong documentation, support reporting needs, and help ensure consistent execution of security and access control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, access control alerts, and related security systems on a 24x7 basis.
Identify, assess, and escalate suspicious activity, alarms, incidents, and abnormal conditions in a timely manner.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on monitoring activity, alarm events, incident trends, and operational support.
- Maintain awareness of ongoing incidents and ensure appropriate follow-through, documentation, and handoff between shifts.
- Coordinate verbally and in writing with the GSOC team in Ohio through Microsoft Teams and other approved channels.
- Communicate clearly with primary contacts in Hyderabad during incidents, operational issues, and security events.
- Support emergency response by validating access permissions, sharing situational updates, and helping coordinate communications during incidents.
- Escalate system-related concerns, outages, or recurring issues involving monitoring, alarm, or access platforms.
- Issue, activate, modify, and deactivate employee, contractor, and visitor access badges.
Support audits related to access control and badge management.
- Coordinate with HR, Facilities, IT, and Security teams to support access and onboarding requuirements.
- Maintain accurate badge inventory, access records, and supporting documentation.
- Manage visitor credentialing and access requests.
- Verify identity and access authorization documentation before badge management.
Support regular onboarding and offboarding activities, including periodic high-volume or batch processing needs.
- Ensure compliance with company security policies and access control procedures.
- All other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate in any discipline. 2 to 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: badging operations, access control, security operations, facilities administration, or a corporate security environment.
Experience monitoring cameras, alarms, and security systems in an operations center, security command center, or similar environment. Experience with access control systems such as Lenel, CCure, Genetec, Gallagher, or similar platforms preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to coordinate across teams and time zones. Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder engagement skills .
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word, and comfort using Teams for operational communication.
