Job Summary
Executes advanced quality control processes to ensure product excellence. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Accounts for all end-to-end quality related deliverables in the NPDL process and fast track development projects.
• Coaches, trains and challenges other functions on execution of quality activities such as CTQ, FMEA, Supplier selection, PPAP, QTP, Process validation, Reliability prediction, and Compliance.
• Presents the quality status in NPDL Gate and MS review and defines and drives corrective actions to meet deliverables.
• Assures budget is defined in the project to meet quality deliverables.
• Sets quality KPI in NPDL Project.
• Defines requirements for quality test and measurement equipment.
• Closes feedback loops from customer complaints by embedding the learnings into new design rules, QTPs, FMEAs and other AQP tools.
Critical Experiences
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field, providing foundational knowledge in quality principles and product development. Detailed knowledge of the theory and principles of APQP and statistical methods.
Minimum 10+ years of experience in quality engineering roles within new product development, supplier quality, and industrial quality, with hands-on expertise in quality tools such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, APQP, problem-solving expertise, and process validation.
Preferably Certified DfSS Black Belt or Master Black Belt.
Demonstrated ability to influence a project team
Detailed knowledge of the theory and principles of APQP and statistical methods
Experience in new product development with cross-functional teams.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong computer skills including APQP applications, word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Thorough understanding of advanced quality tools and PPAP.
Ability to work independently with global teams across time zones.
Operates in US work hours 3 pm – 12 am IST.
