The hourly rate for this position is $25-30 per hour, this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
Poway Animal Hospital is a long-standing animal hospital with deep ties to the community, located in beautiful Poway, California. We value compassionate, high-quality veterinary care for pets, and provide excellent client service in an upbeat and fun working environment. Our 3-doctor animal medical facility provides quality medicine while striving to make an impact in our community and treat our patients/clients like family.
Who We're Looking For
We are currently looking to hire a Registered Veterinary Techniciam to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and helping their families and wants to join a fun, supportive team. They will have experience providing a wonderful and supportive client experience, advanced dentistry and procedure experience, venipuncture and general practice patient care skills and knowledge, and be ready to contribute their talent to a wonderful treatment and procedure team!

Qualifications
- Experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT).
- Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT)
- Proficiency in dentistry, extractions, anesthesia, and procedure assistance.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
- Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
- Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
