What you'll be working on

You'll join our Transaction Observability team in Mechelen, building the core platform responsible for ingesting, indexing and making searchable enormous volumes of financial transaction data in real time. This isn't another CRUD application, you'll be working on the backend systems that power search, performance and scalability across a platform used by some of the world's largest banks.

Java • Spring Boot • Elasticsearch • Gradle • Kubernetes • Helm

What you'll do

• Design and build high-performance backend services in Java.
• Develop real-time data ingestion and indexing pipelines.
• Build advanced search capabilities using Elasticsearch.
• Improve performance, scalability and resilience across distributed systems.
• Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested, production-quality code.

What we're looking for

You'll probably have:

• Strong experience building backend applications in Java.
• Experience designing production systems that need to perform under load.
• A solid understanding of software design and the confidence to own technical decisions.
• A product mindset showing that you care about the outcome as much as the implementation.

Bonus points if you've worked with:

• Elasticsearch or Apache Lucene.
• Fintech, regtech or financial messaging.
• High-volume, real-time or event-driven systems.
