TRAFFIC SIGNS & ROAD MARKING CAD TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare professional-quality 2D drawings for Signs & Markings and Directional Sign projects using AutoCAD.
• Convert engineering notes, specifications, sketches, and design information into accurate engineering drawings in accordance with established drafting standards and procedures.
• Produce engineering deliverables including general arrangement drawings, layout plans, structural details, schedules, and construction drawings
• Collaborate with design engineers to develop, review, and finalize design drawings for assigned Traffic and Highways projects.
• Perform routine dimensional calculations, verify drawing accuracy, and incorporate revisions to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Develop, maintain, and update 3D models based on design changes, including performing clash detection and generating clash reports.
• Ensure all drawings and models comply with company CAD standards, applicable codes, technical manuals, and ISO 19650 workflows and approval processes.
• Utilize ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator for drawing management, document control, and coordination.
• Maintain consistency, quality, and accuracy across all engineering documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary project teams and support the timely delivery of project milestones.
• Perform other drafting and design-related duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications:

• Associate degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in CAD drafting for Traffic and Highways projects.
• Strong knowledge of Signs & Markings and Directional Sign design and drafting requirements.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and knowledge of Civil 3D.
• Experience using ProjectWise and/or ACC Navigator with a solid understanding of drawing and document management processes.
• Working knowledge of engineering drafting standards, applicable industry codes, and ISO 19650 information management requirements.
• Ability to produce accurate, detailed engineering drawings and 3D models with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate with engineers, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
