Description
Own the data pipes that carry benefits and payroll between systems.
PrismHR is the HR, payroll, and benefits platform used by employer-services organizations across the United States, backed by Vensure Employer Solutions. EDI is how that data reaches benefit carriers, trading partners, and downstream systems — and when a carrier file is wrong, someone's health coverage is wrong.
You will learn our existing EDI infrastructure, support the creation of new EDI files, and maintain and extend what is already running. Concretely: analyzing, designing, and developing enhancements to EDI application interfaces and maps, documenting existing file structures and integration points, working directly with internal teams and external trading partners to gather requirements and implement new solutions, troubleshooting live feeds for data accuracy and timely transmission, and running EDI testing to catch configuration discrepancies before partners do.
There is real scope to improve rather than only maintain. You will build tools and scripts that automate EDI setup and maintenance, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement in Agile ceremonies.
You will need:
- 6–10 years in EDI development, integration, and support
- Strong command of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (AS2, FTP)
- Hands-on EDI platforms: PrismHR Data Bridge, Sterling Integrator, Cleo, or similar
- Microsoft stack: C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC, SQL Server
- Azure, including serverless (Functions, Logic Apps)
- REST APIs, microservices, CI/CD pipelines
- Strong documentation and partner-facing communication
Nice to have: benefit carrier file requirements, HRIS or payroll systems, ANSI 834 and healthcare data exchange, Kubernetes, GitHub, Azure DevOps, unit testing frameworks. Bachelor's in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
The schedule: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST, Monday to Friday. This is not a night shift — your final hours overlap the start of the US East Coast working day, which is when trading-partner and carrier coordination happens. Your mornings are your own.
Competitive compensation, health coverage, and learning support, on a team driving EDI work that supports critical business operations. Apply now.
