Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hour

About the Opportunity
HealthOPM is currently seeking compassionate and dependable Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join a friendly retirement home in the Goderich area. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting seniors in maintaining their independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and other activities of daily living.
- Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting independence.
- Assist with meals, hydration, and light housekeeping as required.
- Observe and report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality resident care.
- Follow infection prevention and control, workplace health and safety, and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized Ontario program.
- Valid Vulnerable Sector Check (issued within the last 12 months).
- Current TB screening/clearance.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in a retirement home or long-term care setting is an asset.
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering exceptional resident care.
