Kalona Creamery Production Team Member

Summary

The Kalona Creamery Production Team Member is responsible for the manufacturing of high quality, consistent food products, while meeting safety, quality, and production standards. This position oversees the set up, operation, packaging and cleaning of production equipment related to cheese and hummus manufacturing. Shift hours are Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm or until production is complete.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Produce high-quality, consistent food products according to GMP standards.
• Operate, package, and clean production equipment.
• Meet established processing rates.
• Support Kalona Creamery production team members in various production-related tasks.
• Maintain quality standards per specifications defined by State and/or Federal regulatory agencies
• Stay current with required production technology.
• Uphold, support, and promote all company policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties necessary to make the business successful.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Cheese or dairy-related production experience preferred; food manufacturing experience is helpful.
• Ability to read recipes and follow instructions.
• Ability to read and record instrument data with strong attention to detail.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically legible handwriting.
• Willingness and ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 8-10 hours per day.
• Good attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible and willing to learn and grow in the role.
