Build event-driven systems: Develop solutions that collect, validate, transform, and route event data across applications, data pipelines, and downstream platforms.
Solve at scale: Engineer reliable, high-performing systems that support growing data volumes and evolving analytics capabilities.
Own production quality: Build for reliability, performance, observability, scalability, data quality, and operational excellence from development through production.
Drive technical decisions: Evaluate architectural approaches, communicate tradeoffs, and translate complex business and technical requirements into practical, maintainable solutions.
Modernize and improve: Help evolve Gauge's application, streaming, and data-processing capabilities while improving engineering practices and how the team builds and delivers software.
Raise the engineering bar: Mentor engineers, lead thoughtful code and design reviews, share best practices, and improve engineering standards across the team.
Partner across teams: Collaborate with product, analytics, business, and engineering teams to turn trusted data into capabilities and insights used across Lowe’s.
What You Bring:
7+ years of software development experience building and delivering complex production applications.
Strong hands-on experience building backend-leaning full-stack applications, with depth in modern backend services and frontend development.
Experience designing and building event-driven or streaming systems and working with data-intensive applications.
Working knowledge of analytics and data pipelines, including data collection, transformation, validation, and downstream consumption.
Experience driving architecture and technical design, evaluating tradeoffs, and translating complex requirements into scalable solutions.
Technical leadership experience through mentoring, code and design reviews, engineering standards, or leading complex initiatives.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, CIS, a related field, or equivalent experience where applicable.
