Advanced Fryer Solutions (AFS) is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Route Service Technician to join our growing Columbus team.

This is a hands-on, field-based position for individuals who enjoy working independently, staying active, solving problems, and taking pride in delivering exceptional service.

As a Route Service Technician, you'll service a variety of commercial kitchen customers throughout the Columbus area, including restaurants, universities, healthcare facilities, entertainment venues, and other foodservice operations.

Successful technicians are adaptable, customer-focused, and comfortable supporting changing routes, customer assignments, and operational needs as business demands evolve.

Technicians report to our Columbus warehouse each workday to prepare equipment, receive assignments, and support daily operations throughout the territory.

No industry experience? No problem. We provide paid training and all the tools needed for your success.

 Schedule

• Full-Time
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Overnight and early morning hours
• Typical start times between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM
• Weekends off
• Three days off each week
• Consistent full-time schedule

• Using company applications on your smartphone to view schedules, communicate with management, complete service documentation, and take photos of completed work
• Reporting to our Columbus warehouse each workday before servicing customers
• Handling used cooking oil and commercial fryer equipment
• Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 45 pounds
• Working in commercial kitchen environments
• Driving a company vehicle throughout the Columbus area
• Working independently with minimal supervision
• Providing excellent customer service
• Adapting to changing routes, customer assignments, and operational needs

Requirements

 What You'll Do

• Drive a company-provided service vehicle on an established route
• Service commercial kitchen fryers and oil management systems
• Perform fryer oil filtration and oil management services
• Safely remove and transport used cooking oil
• Operate specialized filtration and cleaning equipment
• Complete service documentation using company mobile applications
• Build positive customer relationships
• Follow all company safety standards and procedures
• Maintain company vehicles and equipment in a clean, organized condition
• Represent AFS professionally at all customer locations

What We're Looking For

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work overnight and early morning schedules
• Comfortable working independently
• Comfortable adapting to changing routes and assignments
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record
• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications for scheduling, communication, service documentation, and photo verification
• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 45 pounds
• Comfortable working around used cooking oil and commercial kitchen equipment
• Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to reliably commute to our Columbus warehouse on a daily basis
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Route service or delivery experience
• Restaurant, food service, or commercial cleaning experience
• Equipment maintenance or mechanical aptitude
• Facilities or field service experience
