About the Role

At Team Global Express, we're committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers and business partners across Australia and New Zealand. We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Insurance Claims Officer to join our team and play a key role in managing the end-to-end claims process.

In this role, you'll be responsible for investigating, assessing and resolving claims while partnering with stakeholders across the business to achieve positive outcomes. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with claims, insurance, customer service or freight industry experience who enjoys problem-solving, building relationships and making a real impact.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and process insurance claims accurately and efficiently from initiation through to resolution.

  • Review claims documentation and assess claim validity and coverage.

  • Conduct investigations and gather relevant information to support claims outcomes

  • Liaise with internal business units, customers, claimants and insurance providers to resolve claims matters.

  • Negotiate settlements where appropriate and ensure positive commercial outcomes.

  • Maintain accurate claims records and documentation

  • Contribute to reporting activities and support the preparation of claims data for key stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to improve claims processes, efficiency and customer experience.

  • Provide outstanding customer service and technical claims support across the business

What You'll Bring

  • Previous experience in claims management, insurance

  • Experience in freight, logistics or a related customer-focused environment - nice to have

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.

  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

  • A collaborative approach and willingness to work as part of a high-performing team.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • A proactive mindset, sound judgement and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
