Management Level:
Class 1Position Summary:
Provides service to the plant facility related to the general upkeep of grounds and buildings.
ATTN Team Members:
This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.
SECTION 2 — PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completion of Lockout/Tagout training is required before job training begins.
- Perform lubrication and PM functions on doors, door closers, and truck entrance gate.
- Clean up work areas after completing tasks such as painting, and trimming bushes and trees.
- Assist the Safety Department with checks of eyewash stations, ladders, etc.
- Perform daily temperature checks in restrooms and production sinks.
- Perform daily lighting checks and replace light bulbs as needed.
- Repair sinks, urinals, and other restroom fixtures
- . Perform painting, caulking, and patching as assigned.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
- Comply with OSHA standards. Work with minimal supervision.
- Perform all work in a safe manner.
- Abide by all company policies and procedures, written or verbal.
- Work as part of a team to accomplish tasks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Clean the outside maintenance pad, back lot, and engineering shop to keep them audit-ready.
- Transport and pick up materials as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by outside contractors as needed.
- Any other tasks deemed necessary by management.
SECTION 3 — KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Ability to read job-related information, including work assignments, equipment specifications, and repair information.
- Ability to record required information in work logs.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide to make work-related calculations (e.g., machinery, fluid capacities).
- Ability to work competently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment such as restroom fixtures.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and via radio
- . Ability to effectively use SAP, including obtaining work tasks, entering work notifications, and entering time for tasks completed, both scheduled and unscheduled.
SECTION 4 — TRAINING (EQUIPMENT & METHODS)
- Lockout/Tagout training is required and tested by the Safety Director and/or Maintenance Supervisors; documentation is maintained by the Safety Director.
- Monthly safety and GMP training is conducted by the immediate supervisor, using materials provided by the Safety Director and QA Manager.
- Must be certified to operate scissor lifts and boom lifts. Must be able to obtain forklift certification.
SECTION 5 — JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS
Required personal protective equipment: steel-toe shoes, long pants, safety glasses (as required), ear protection (as required), and tools.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing and able to lift 50 lbs. on a daily basis .
- The Team Member will work in harsh conditions for short periods (heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, water, mud, etc.).
- The Team Member will perform tasks such as spreading salt and shoveling snow from sidewalks.
Requirements:
3 years of Maintenance experience preferred; manufacturing experience preferred.
INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION:
