Objectives
- The Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment by completing cleaning duties efficiently and reporting any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications
Essential
- Matric – National Senior Certificate (Higher Certificate).
Essential Criteria
- Interact and communicate in a respectful manner.
Position Duties
- Clean and maintain offices, meeting rooms, kitchens, washrooms, reception areas, corridors, and other assigned spaces.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, polish, and sanitize surfaces and floors.
- Empty waste and recycling bins and dispose of waste appropriately.
- Clean and restock washroom and hygiene supplies.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, doors, fixtures, and other designated areas.
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and according to instructions.
- Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, or shortages of supplies to the supervisor.
- Follow workplace health, safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure it is stored securely after use.
- Complete cleaning schedules, checklists, or inspection records as required.
- Support periodic deep-cleaning activities.
- Respect confidentiality and maintain professional conduct while working in occupied areas.
- Perform other duties reasonably assigned by the supervisor
Occupational Health & Safety
- Practice the ALS Health and Safety Foundation Standards.
- Abide by the ALS company policies and procedures
Quality Assurance
- Always follow all ALS Quality System Procedures.
- Always abide by local legislative requirements.
- Compliance to the ALS Quality Management System
