The Gas Turbine Engineering AI team is the primary connection between the module Design engineers and delivering efficient, high productivity and leading technology projects for the GEV business. You will bring a new level of execution to the Gas Turbine engineering team to deliver on critical AI projects as well as focusing on growing the technical skillset of the organization.Job Description
Key Responsibilities
The Lead Engineer will be part of the Gas Turbine Engineering (GTE) organization. In this role, they will:
- Deliver, test, and productionize pivotal AI and automation use-cases to support the following gas turbine design areas: mechanical, heat transfer, aero, CFD, geometry creation, design for manufacturing and/or operations. Collaborate with these design teams to understand needs and deliver solutions that enhance productivity.
- Work with GTE leadership to execute against metrics that assess the effectiveness of AI/ML training programs.
- Train and coach design engineers spanning multiple countries including US, Poland, India, and Mexico on AI/ML/automation tools; create clear documentation, standard work and playbooks.
- Ensure model governance and responsible AI practices including, but not limited to, validation, bias checks, IP protection.
- Collaborate across GTE to share best practices, and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering
- 3+ years of experience with data science
- Proficiency with python and prior experience with AI/ML
- Prior experience working in GEV Gas Power Engineering

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $89,300.00 and $148,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
