Job Summary
This role is responsible for driving the efficient procurement of goods and services required for the organization's operations, contributing to the overall success of the procurement function.

Category Manager responsible of the strategic management of the HP automated Ariba Catalogs.

  • Responsible of overseeing Catalog implementations and maintenance in partnership with IT and external suppliers.
  • Identifies opportunities for Catalog process improvement and automation.
  • Builds relationship with key stakeholders understanding business priorities and translating them into procurement Catalog plans and focusing on producing an adequate customer experience.
  • Identifies opportunities for implementing new Catalogs.
  • Solves complex issues and drives tactical and strategic initiatives, such as leading process standardizations or process improvement initiatives.
  • Monitors the Catalog program including key metrics and supplier performance.
  • Identifies issues and proposed solutions with limited guidance.
  • Provides independent, analytic, and strategic support.
  • In partnership with Category, manages the relationship with suppliers operating in Ariba automated Catalogs.
  • Mentors lower level contributors.


Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in procurement, category management, operations, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.
