Description
Scientific Drilling is looking for a Pulser Technician to work at our Casper, Wyoming location. Scientific Drilling is an independent directional drilling and wellbore navigation, surveying and logging service company serving customers worldwide. Our industry leading navigation systems provide definitive wellbore placement information, enabling safer and more efficient placement of tightly spaced wellbores throughout the world. Responsibilities:
- Repair and maintenance of Scientific Drilling Pulsers (used for MWD Operations)
- Test and troubleshoot any/all functioning issues on tools received from operations
- Disassemble clean and inspect tool components for wear and/or damage
- Assemble, function test and ready tools for deployment to operations
- Able to use solenoid test system to qualify tools for deployment
- Fill out all required forms, records and documents used in the manufacture/service of Scientific Drilling Pulsers
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School and/or Associates Degree
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Location, Physical Requirements and PPE:
Manufacturing:
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, kneel, push, stoop, reach above the shoulder, grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, identify colors, hear with aid, see , write, count, read, speak, analyze, alphabetize, lift and carry 25 lbs. and under, perceive depth, and operate motor equipment.
- Conditions include working inside. Working around moving objects, machines with moving parts. Working around radiant and electrical energy. Work with heated soldering iron and flux. Working closely with others, working alone, working extended and/or irregular hours. Working environment may include but not limited to, intermittent noise, fumes, smoke, grease, dust, oils and solvents.
- Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computer and related equipment, calculator, special instrumentation, hand tools, power tools, air tools, microscope and telephone. Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, reinforced toed shoes, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.
