This is a security position requires a qualified security professional in support of a special access program in the role of Contractor SAP Security Officer (CSSO). In this role the individual will focus on all aspects of industrial security compliance in support of a large SAP program.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in Special Programs.  In this role the candidate will collaborate routinely with all levels of program leadership. This is an onsite role where the Security representative is responsible for all aspects of program security with an emphasis on the physical and technical security of multiple classified sites. 

What You Will Do

  • Ensure compliance with the DoD Manual 5205.07, 5220.22-M NISPOM, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related Industrial Security Guidance Manuals or Special Program Security directives
  • Provide security guidance regarding program operations
  • Maintain, obtain approval for, and implement security policies pertaining to new classified facility construction and renovations.
  • Maintain, obtain approval for, and implement security policies and procedures specific to the program to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Emergency Action Plan (EAP), and OSPEC plan.
  • Participate in self-inspections and Government compliance inspections, initiate and complete Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
  • Conduct inquiries into security incidents, write reports, and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Review Assured File Transfers (AFTs) for proper classification/declassification prior to release.
  • Review CDRLs/SDRLs and other deliverables for proper marking and sanitization.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of the Security, Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.
  • Process all Security Program request while adhering to Security Policy
  • Manage special access program facility administration Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 related to the physical security and construction requirements for SAPFs submitting pre-construction and accreditation packages to include Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs) and Tempest assessments.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
  • Experience working with NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07, DoD SAP Security Manuals
  • Experience as a Subject Matter Expert on ICD 705 and related references
  • Experience with Joint SAP Implementation Guide (JSIG), and related references
  • Experience with Cyber Security/Risk Management Framework (RMF)


Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prior CSSO experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Successfully completed ICD 705 course
  • Working knowledge in the preparation and maintenance of prime and subcontract DD254s
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of both Security and Government Contracts
  • Must be willing to travel on company business (approximately 10% - 20%)
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate competency level with Microsoft Office Suite programs

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
