Per Diem Nurse Epidemiologist - RN - The One
The Per Diem Nurse Epidemiologist will support Infection Prevention and Control activities at The One, with a primary focus on high-level disinfection (HLD), sterile processing practices, and environmental infection prevention. Responsibilities include conducting routine rounding and audits in areas performing HLD, operating rooms, central sterile processing department (CSPD); monitoring compliance with infection prevention standards; identifying opportunities for improvement; and providing education to frontline staff and leaders.
This position will provide consultation services to various departments throughout our hospital, and collaborate closely with clinical, perioperative, and sterile processing leaders to promote adherence to infection prevention standards and support regulatory readiness activities.
This is a per diem position, so shifts will vary. This position will be located at The One, 1111 Westchester Ave, White Plains, NY 10604.
Preferred Criteria:
Master's degree in nursing or related field
Infection Prevention and Control experience
Certified by the Certification Board for Infection Control & Epidemiology (CIC)
Three years of bedside nursing experience (critical care preferred)
Experience conducting audits, compliance monitoring, and staff education
Required Criteria:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current New York State RN license
Three to five years of clinical experience
Ability to obtain CIC certification within two years of employment
