The Pricing & Tender Specialist is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies, preparing high-quality tender and pricing requirements for the Primary & Grid Components Portfolios, and ensuring excellent customer service through responsive, compliant, and technically sound offers. This role combines a strong commercial acumen with a high level of technical expertise to align primary and grid component solutions with customer needs – with capability to work with customers to develop technical specification requirements aligned to ABB portfolio solutions. This role will also have strong competency to develop mitigation strategies, and deliver solutions that meet customer application engineering requirements and competitive positioning for ABB.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Prepare accurate and compliant pricing and tender requirements for the Primary & Grid Components Portfolio to support sales initiatives
  • Ensure high quality of customer service through responsiveness and quality of tender and pricing offers
  • Determine and drive pricing strategy across customer segments to optimize revenue and market competitiveness
  • Display clear portfolio growth through application engineering requirements to ensure right-fit solutions that meet customer technical and operational needs


Qualifications for the role

The successful candidate will demonstrate high acumen in the following:

  • Pricing and financial skill sets to create offers managing relevant risks and ensuring sustained profitability
  • Attention to detail and quality in building commercially and technically compliant offers
  • Strong technical expertise: 11-33kV Distribution Systems with emphasis on Primary and Grid Component portfolios
  • Manage commercial, contractual, and technical risk in offers
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Problem solving both technical and commercial
  • Application engineering capability to match customer needs to ABB solutions
