  • Future potential for full-time position and contract extension
  • Salary plus 12% superannuation and salary packaging (including venue hire, meals, entertainment and novated leasing)
  • Drive MindSpot’s digital growth through targeted marketing campaigns, website and social media management, and strategic communications that increase awareness, registrations and referrals.
  • Flexible hybrid role, based at Macquarie University, Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde
  • Grow with us: Work closely with the newly appointed Head of Partnerships and Growth to shape MindSpot’s marketing and communications strategy.

Grow the reach of an innovative national digital mental health service

MindSpot is an internationally recognised digital mental health service and research program, and part of Macquarie University Health. Each year, MindSpot helps more than 30,000 Australians access free, evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment by phone and online — and its clinical research arm, the eCentreClinic, designs and evaluates the next generation of digital treatments that feed straight back into frontline care.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, senior role with no direct reports.  Reporting to the Head of Partnerships and Growth, you will:

  • Plan, deliver and optimise digital marketing campaigns to grow registrations and referrals to MindSpot.
  • Manage MindSpot’s website and social media channels, improving reach, engagement, search visibility (including in AI-driven search) and conversion.
  • Develop engaging content and proactive communications for consumers, health professionals, government and sector partners.
  • Use data, analytics and reporting to measure campaign performance, inform decision-making and continuously improve results.
  • Use insights to identify growth opportunities and recommend priorities, investment and new approaches to test.
  • Strengthen MindSpot’s brand awareness and profile through consistent, high-quality marketing and communications, and playing a key role in MindSpot’s brand refresh, from audience insight through to rollout across digital channels.
  • Develop and maintain digital marketing activities that support health professional referrals, including newsletters, resources and online content.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams, designers, developers and external suppliers to deliver effective marketing initiatives.
  • Support partnership development and organisational growth through targeted marketing collateral, case studies and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure all marketing and communications meet relevant brand, accessibility, privacy, health advertising and safe mental health communication requirements.

About You

You are an experienced digital marketing and communications professional who knows how to deliver campaigns that drive registrations, referrals and engagement. You combine strong writing and content skills with a data-driven approach, using performance insights to measure results, inform decisions and continuously improve marketing activity.  You keep up with how search and content are changing, including AI-driven search, and use generative AI tools responsibly.

You are  proactive and confident working independently, with a commitment to excellence and the collaborative mindset to work effectively across teams. You build strong working relationships and are comfortable balancing competing priorities and input from different stakeholders. Motivated by work with purpose, you are excited by the opportunity to use your skills to improve access to mental health services.

Experience in health, mental health, government, higher education, research or not-for-profit settings is highly desirable, though strong candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply.  Lived experience of mental health, personally or as a carer, is welcomed.

Selection Criteria

  • Relevant qualifications in marketing, communications, digital media or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Substantial experience in digital marketing (typically 5+ years), with proven results growing registrations, sign-ups or enquiries through digital channels, and the numbers to show it.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads, paid social, email marketing, Google Analytics 4 and website content management, including SEO, accessibility and conversion optimisation.
  • Clear, warm and accurate writing for different audiences, including consumers, health professionals and government.
  • Confident use of data and insight to plan, test, report and recommend where to invest, and to explain results simply.
  • Current knowledge of how search and content are changing, including AI-driven search, and practical, responsible use of generative AI tools.
  • Sound judgement with sensitive content, privacy and safe messaging, and the ability to manage priorities independently while working well with internal teams, agencies and suppliers.
